Iron Mills Farmstead. Located in the heart of New Wilmington, PA.
A sure fire family favorite.
We don't live in a major city. So it isn't always easy to find kid friendly activities in our area. Now that the kids are getting older, our options are able to branch out. And I'm a sucker for fall activities.
I was more then happy to come across Iron Mills after hearing such incredible feedback from family and friends. I just knew we had to venture out into the countryside and experience it for ourselves.
With just two weeks left of the season, the place was packed when we arrived that morning. After
grabbing our tickets at the door along with a map to help us get started, we immediately ran over to
the corncob beach. Aside from their 10 acre maze and pumpkin patch, there's plenty of things to keep the kids busy throuout the day. It's easy to get swept up in the magic of this farm.
After you've caught a hayride, you can go on the super slide mountain, climb mt. arthur, cackleberry bounce, pumpkin slingshot, pony express rides, bowling, and the rubber duck races.
By the time you've hit all of the activities, I'm sure you'll have worked up quite the appetite. There's a few different spots around the farm with different refreshments and snacks (the kettle corns our favorite!) as well as Grandma Kettle's Kitchen that serves a variety of mouth watering lunch and dinner specials.
On our way out, we made sure to walk by the petting zoo and rustic barn they use as a wedding venue.
Stay up to date with Iron Mills and be sure to join their email list for upcoming news and possible discounts. They also hold weekly giveaways on their facebook page. You'll definitely want to be one of the first people to be there next year!
It's turned into a family tradition. And we all can't wait to go back.
