Come Visit with Santa at Phipps' Conservatory While families stroll through the glowing paradise of Phipps' Winter Flower Show and Light Garden, children can top by for a friendly visit with Ole Kris Kringle! Head to beautifully decorated Gallery Room and share your innermost Christmas wishes with Santa himself. Santa will be in the Conservatory for visits from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the following dates: Fri., Nov. 25 - Mon., Nov. 28 Thurs., Dec. 3 - Fri., Dec. 4 Thurs., Dec. 10 - Fri., Dec. 11 Sat., Dec. 17 - Fri., Dec. 23
Penguin Parade at Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium Join us Saturdays and Sundays (weather permitting) for Penguins on Parade. Watch as our penguins waddle down the pathway at PPG Aquarium. Photos, clapping and smiles are encouraged. Penguins on Parade begins 11:30 am.
Party with Disco the Penguin at the National Aviary Disco, the African Penguin is hosting a very special KIDS ONLY night at the National Aviary! Mom and Dad can finish their shopping while kids discover a whole different side of the Aviary after dark and during the holidays. There will be stories, bat feedings, crafts to take home, a scavenger hunt, flashlight hike and opportunities to meet a penguin up close! This event will be led by the National Aviary’s team of professional educators and bird experts focused on providing your child the best experience possible. All staff and instructors possess Act 33/34 clearances, have previous experience working with children, and are CPR/First Aid certified.

Winter Flower Show and Light Garden: The most magical time of the year arrives with the opening of Winter Flower Show and Light Garden on Fri., Nov. 25. Built around a whimsical "Snow Day at Phipps" theme, the changing exhibit rooms will feature topiary penguins, bears and reindeer frolicking in showcases of artful LED lights, decorated fir trees, whimsical props, colorful poinsettias, aromatic paperwhites, showy amaryllis and more. From snowball fights and ice skating to cuddly blanket forts, the displays will revive the wonder of a winter's day of childhood play in guests of every age. Runs through Sun., Jan. 8. Admission is $17.95 for adults, $16.95 for seniors and students, and $11.95 for children (ages 2 – 18). Members and kids under 2 enter free.
